Working principle

The optical cable clamp coil is a product that replaces the Radix optical cable test clamp. Its main function is to receive the high-frequency pulse signals from the Radix detector and transmit them to the optical cable reinforcement core for propagation. The optical cable clamp is made by winding 0.05MM Japanese imported ultra-thin silicon steel sheets around it. At high frequencies, it has lower loss and high magnetic permeability, generating electromagnetic coupling signals that are propagated through the optical cable reinforcement steel core. The main advantage is that the product has a high cost-performance ratio. The size can be customized according to the size of the on-site test object, facilitating on-site anti-corrosion construction. It can be easily installed on the test object. After one installation, the next test can skip the excavation process and directly connect to the Radix underground pipeline detection instrument to test the pipeline's direction and depth, eliminating the cost of repeated excavation.

The first generation of optical cable clamps used coils wound with 0.05MM ultra-thin Japanese imported silicon steel sheets. However, the second generation of optical cable clamps replaced the iron core wound by coils with a Pomeroy alloy iron core, resulting in superior performance compared to the first generation products.
